The other George 111 mug dated 1818 has a tapering cylindrical form with bands of reeded decoration and a monogram to one side. The William IV silver christening mug dated back to 1837 has a foliate scroll handle, lobed urn shaped body raised on a circular foot and a gilded interior. This one has no monograms or crests which would make it a perfect and substantial gift for Christenings or special occasions.
