0120. A pair of George 11 silver candlesticks
of cast form with spool-shaped capitals and fluted knop stems with shell motifs to shoulder, each terminating in a shaped and stepped square base with shell corners and rope-twist borders throughout. Each is engraved with a small crest, probably Hoveden or Howenden of Ireland. IW monogram underneath the base and to the drip pans. There is a clear set of hallmarks to the base of each candlestick. Good gauge and gorgeous item.
