A muffin dish is used to serve breads, pastries and muffins. It consists of three parts: the base; into this fits a tray; and the whole is then covered by a dome lid.
Hot water is poured into the base, muffins added to the tray, and the lid then keeps them warm during breakfast!
The antique sterling silver muffin dishes displayed here would be a welcome addition to any dining table.
